This “beer house with dining room” is the latest addition to the award-winning Common, Port Street Beer House and Indy Man Beer Con group. Owned by Jonathan Heyes, The Beagle took over the old Scott’s Hill premises on Barlow Moor Road in Chorlton in mid-November 2012. Beers are typically British and local, including several of The Beagle’s own brews, while the menu is MEX tastic. With blocky bird prints that hark back to the 1950s and 1960s, the decor brings together aspects of the retro, comfortable and woody design that both Common and Port Street bars are famous for. Wines, meanwhile, are provided by award-laden local retailer Hanging Ditch. The covered terrace is a lovely people-watching space
