Head out to Chorlton to sample this contemporary new offering from the team behind Common bar and Port Street Beer House. Owner Jonny Heyes is a guy committed to getting things just right - and with this in mind he’s drafted in Laurence Tottingham, chef at MFDF Restaurant of the Year, Aumbry to come up with a menu of almost perfect pub food including the ultimate roast. Tuck into one course for £13.95 or two course for £17.50 and try starters like pickled mackerel beetroot relish with sourdough or salt beef stovey fried duck egg and grain mustard sauce as part of the deal. The interior is minty green with large, graphic pictures of birds. Wild flowers break up the space and there’s a roomy lower level bar, serving some of the best regional ales in this part of town.
