FESTIVE fun in an archway this Saturday (Dec 22) – are we talking GRUB? No, the street food mecca at Fairfield Social Club is on with a strong pre-Christmas collection of traders but there’s a rival attraction in the next door Arch No.7 on Temperance Street.
New creative hub Underway is hosting a Christmas party loosely inspired by the song, ‘The 12 Days of Christmas’, called 'In the Archway of Christmas.. my true love gave to me…' The daylong family-friendly event features a traditional Irish ceilidh with Living Room Dance Club, DJs, pottery workshops and locally sourced food and drink ‘treats’ from acclaimed Stockport restaurant, Where The Light Gets In. Look out for thier miniature meat pies at 5pm.
Alongside there is Geordie Seoul offering burritos Korean style and Little Bubble Box serving ice-cream stuffed bubble waffles and bubble teas. There will also be a bar, a beervtasting, a raffle and fizz on arrival.
Crafty contributions come from accomplished ceramicist Joe Hartley (pictured) with six pottery wheels and free gift making workshops with Easy Peel Studio and Bottle Candle Co.
