Located in the city centre’s new ‘food quarter’ on King Street, Le Relais de Venise L’Entrecote serves just two dishes. To start, tuck into perfectly French-dressed salad, made with fresh local leaves, while for the main course, enjoy a meal of flavoursome sirloin, served with golden fries.

There’s a secret recipe sauce served with your steak (if you wish). On the side, the house wines are extremely reasonable, and, naturally, the finest France has to offer. It is ideal for a quick lunch or supper.

Subtle flavours

Round your meal off with desserts like crème brulee, profiteroles or even ‘Mont Blanc’, a snowy fusion of chestnut and whipped cream on a base of vanilla ice cream as well as coffees, Armagnac, liquers and delicate infusions.

With outlets in London and New York, Le Relais is not your typical Manchester experience. Identical to the original Parisian restaurant which inspired the concept, this is your chance to sample some of the best French bistro fare in the country.

Opening times are lunch Mon to Fri, 12noon to 2.30pm – last orders, Sat and Sun 12.30pm to 3.30pm, dinner, Mon 6pm to 10pm, Tue to Fri 6pm to 10.30pm, Sat 6.30pm to 10.30pm, Sun 6.30pm to 10pm. No reservations.
