A feast for all the senses at Platt Fields Park

Dig out the tartan rug, dust off the plastic plates and line up the scotch eggs for Feast! Picnic by the Lake is coming to Manchester this weekend. The three-day festival, which runs from Friday, June 5 to Sunday, June 7 at Platt Fields Park, is a showcase of street art and performance from Britain and beyond.

Presented by Manchester International Arts and Streets Ahead Events, the free event invites visitors to pack up a picnic and pitch up beside the picturesque lake inside the park, where a host of entertainment will unfold. This year’s highlights include an Indian Circus, Egyptian music and Eastern European rhythms alongside French comedy, fire-blazing tango, inspiring acrobatics and eye-catching evening illuminations.

Games, workshops and activities for all ages are also taking place and Friday and Saturday nights will culminate in a special dazzling finale.

Feast! Picnic by the Lake opens Friday, June 5 from 7.30pm – 11pm; Saturday, June 6 from 2pm – 11pm and Sunday, June 7 from 1pm – 6pm.
