A feast of music at the Art of Tea

Charming Didsbury café bar The Art of Tea is to host a showcase of folk and jazz with Preston duo Mr and Mrs. The popular haunt is holding The Art of Music event on Thursday, July 2 and will also feature local musicians Kate Mellors and Dave Thomas as part of the line up.

Fresh from recording an album with top producer Chris Donohue (Elvis Costello/Ben Folds/Emmylou Harris) in Nashville, Tennessee, Mr and Mrs are fast finding fame after forming less than a year ago. They have impressed audiences at North West festivals, including Kendal Calling and Solfest, and are set to have their track Cut All Strings - taken from the album Odds and Ends - used on an HBO documentary. It has also been given airplay on Steve Lamacq’s BBC Radio Two and 6Extra shows.

Having recently become fully licensed, The Art of Tea now offers a selection of specialist beers, wines and spirits from around the world for customers to enjoy of an evening.

The gig takes place from 7pm – 11pm and tickets cost £2 adv from The Art of Tea or £3 on the door.
