A ping pong and pizza bar is opening in Circle Square

2 August 2023

If ping pong is your thing, you’ll be thrilled to know that a brand-new bar dedicated to the competitive game is coming to Manchester at the end of summer.

HIT is about to become the newest resident of Circle Square just off Oxford Road, a bustling area of the city that’s already home to an increasing number of independents. The new bar will occupy a 4,500 sq ft space under Vita Living’s East tower.

HIT hasn’t given too much away yet, but what you can expect is plenty of space to play ping pong with your pals, as well as a menu of pizza and drinks deals to celebrate your win, or commiserate your loss.

It’ll join Circle Square’s growing number of residents including Federal, Birds of Prey, Canvas, Hello Oriental, North Brewing Taproom and more.

HIT spokesperson Juan Pascumal said: “It’s fantastic to close the deal with Vita Group and start work on our new concept HIT. Circle Square offers an incredible platform to launch the brand – thousands of students and young professionals are living on-site, it’s surrounded by fantastic offices welcoming a large workforce and adjoins one of highest footfall roads in the city - Oxford Road.

“We can’t wait to serve up this brilliant new concept to the city, and share more of our ideas closer to opening.”

Manchester has become quite the place for gaming bars over the past few years. The recent expansion of NQ64 has proved that we’re a competitive city, and places like Twenty Twenty Two and The Flight Club are packed with punters every weekend looking to claim victory over the sore losers in their group.

HIT is planning to open at the end of summer. If you can’t wait until then, you can enjoy a game of ping pong at  Northern Quarter's Twenty Twenty Two or Roxy Ballroom on Deansgate or inside the Arndale.
