LIKE much of the nation you intend to be glued to the screen for Harry and Megan’s nuptials on Saturday, May 19? The Gin Society is giving you the chance to toast them with an array of 120 juniper-based tipples at Bolton Twon Hall (the two day fest offers Prosecco and other sparkling wines if you favour a more trad royal salute).
There’s an incentive to dress up on Royal Wedding Day, too. Organisers are giving away a gorgeous bottle of gin to the most glamorous outfit on show. Up for a challenger, the ToM team is dusting off hat, fascinators and dancing shoes.
The GS formula remains the same – but with more gins than ever, including a wide range of fashionable fruit gins, Fentimans tonics, masterclasses with distillers, vintage sounds from DJ Sid
You can also sip taste a range of new and unusual gins at the Be Our Guest Bar and hear a few facts and fibs about how the gin craze began and its grisly history.
Tickets for each session are now on sale at £8.50 (plus booking fee). Included in the entry prices is a bespoke Gin Society gin goblet featuring a new design, which is yours to keep as a souvenir, plus a booklet of tasting notes. All gins and tonics plus garnishes are priced at £5.
