Who doesn’t love a great steak? Truly one of life's perfect meals and an undeniable, stone cold classic so last weeks announcement that Manchester had another steakhouse incoming was news we could all get behind.
But which fine institution would be joining our ranks? It would, of course, be London's very own Flat Iron steakhouse. Known for their simplistic approach to dining with a focus on affordable steak that still tastes great alongside lightning quick service. Flat iron have already established themselves down South but are now looking to spread their popularity further up north, but why is Flat Iron so popular? Simply put, its down to their ethos that a steak that tastes fantastic doesn’t have to break the bank and especially in current times that’s something we can all support.
Founder Charlie Carroll Spoke about his times opening Flat iron and the trials he’s faced: “I didn’t know if my idea of great steak for everyone would get people excited. To my amazement, by the second week, the queue went down the stairs.
“There have been many twists and turns since then, with a huge community of committed individuals working together to try and achieve a common goal.”
He also walked through their general approach as a restaurant and why they've seen success: “Remarkable steak, accessible to all, passionate people and love. It’s where we started, where we are and where we firmly hope to stay.”
