ROBERT Owen Brown is the Scarlet Pimpernel among peripatetic chefs. You seek him here, you seek him there and then he pops at a supper club near you. Your next chance to sample some of his legendary game-led cuisine also gives you the opportunity to become better read.
The former Mark Addy man (pictured below) is hosting a five course meal for an Inca Pop Ups event at Taste of Manchester favourite Chapter One bookshop/cafe on Lever Street on Saturday, November 14. It costs £40 a head inc welcome drink and the menu is:
Wild rabbit consommé with thyme dumplings; tea smoked wood pigeon breast with sweet chestnut and crispy parsnip salad; roast grey leg partridge with wild mushrooms and caramelised baby orbs of joy; bitter dark chocolate tart with ginger nut ice cream; white port soaked Garstang cheese.
Book via this link, leaving a £20 deposit and £1.85 booking fee. A bargain. Highly recommended. Inca are also organising a Turkish dinner the previous Saturday at The Board in Cheadle Hulme.
