CONGRATULATIONS to the Albert Square Chop House for walking away with Hospitality Venue of 2017 at the annual Downtown City of Manchester Business Awards.
A comparative minnow, Roger Ward’s ‘baby’ Chop House (after Sam’s and Tom’s) beat off stiff competition from Manchester United, the Bridgewater Hall, the Albert Hall Manchester 235 and Gorilla.
The awards gala dinner, attended by over 300 business leaders, was held at the Principal Hotel with the keynote speaker Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham.
Other hospitality industry winners included Restaurant Bar & Grill (Customer Focused Business of the Year 2017), LEAF (New Hospitality Venue) and Manchester House (Bar/ Restaurant of the Year 2017), while restaurant bar Grafene scooped Social Media Presence of the Year.
