ALBERT’S Restaurant in West Didsbury has revealed its re-opening date as Friday, March 15, when they’ll throw open the doors with a completely new look.
The restaurant has been closed since the beginning of January for the transformation which will be unveiled just in time for Mother’s Day. A party for Albert’s customers and local residents will celebrate 10 years in the neighbourhood.
The interior, designed by Space Invader Design, features eye-catching colours of dark green, blue, gold and brown with lush materials such as velvet used in the seating area. The look is complemented with a wall of living plants separating the restaurant and bar area. Lighting includes a centrepiece inspired by the elegance of birds singing designed by Umut Yama.
The expansion of the bar area, now seating 56, is matched by a revamp of the drinks offering – local craft beers, cocktails, fizz and wines. Fittingly it will be home to the full Didsbury Gin range, on show in a botanical themed back bar.
The popular outside area will now accommodate 76 people on the terrace and up to 120 people on the lower terrace.
Don’t worry about the food menu losing your faves. The only major change is the introduction of afternoon tea.
James Ramsbottom from Albert’s said: “We cannot wait to reveal our new look to all our loyal customers old and new, and to say a big thank you for their patience over the past couple of months while we’ve been busy with the refurb.
“The new design is stunning, and we are sure everyone will love the new look. We’ve all worked hard to ensure we are open and ready for business on Mother’s Day, which is a very popular day with our customers.”
