AN important date for your diary – one of the city’s most worthwhile gatherings. Full Fat is back on Saturday, August 3, where the cream of Manchester’s food, drink and music scene join forces to raise money for two fine causes – Greater Manchester Keep Our NHS Public and Headway - the brain injury association.
The event, which debuted last year, is held in memory of John-Paul Cassidy – a much-loved craft beer champion, fashion industry figure and outspoken NHS supporter.
Food comes from Tender Cow, Honest Crust, Long Bois Bakery and Siop Shop, coffee from Idle Hands and natural wine from Isca. Plus, it goes without saying, a roll call of Manchester anthem North's finest craft beers – liquid contributions have come from the likes pf Pomona Island, Torrside, Squawk, Track, Blackjack, Thirst Class Ale, Runaway, Beatnikz Republic, Manchester Union Lager, Cloudwater, Magic Rock and more.
Beermoth will be holding a vintage beer tasting, and Mariel Osborn a coaster workshop. Pippy Eats’ dumpling workshop is sold out but there are still tickets available for Heart and Parcel’s briouate workshop, where you can learn to make these Moroccan sweet or savoury pastries (above). Get tickets here.
Leading local DJs will provide the soundtrack to the day, including Duncan Sime, Joe Bird and Lee Gorton, Liam Quinn (Beat Boutique), Jason Boardman (Aficionado) Scott Taylor (Fish Ain’t Bitin’), Leonard Hamilton and Devil’s Jukebox.
