Another Heart To Feed – get down and smell the coffee

25 January 2018

FIVE weeks since Another Heart To Feed moved out of its Chapel Street, Salford premises this brilliant cafe operation is starting to beat again in a new home – thanks to the generosity of Didsbury bar West Village. They’ve just tweeted a picture of the machine AHTF will be using from January 25 during their pop-up tenancy.

Following a price hike at their previous premises Nicola Bell and Alex Hill’s Melbourne inspired cafe was forced to find a new home. In 10 short months it had created a great impression, making the shortlist for Best Coffee House in the 2017 Manchester Food and Drink Awards.

The new plan is for them to occupy the premises until 4pm when West Village opens. They’ll be serving signature breakfasts and brunches of dishes like smashed avo with feta, poached egg and beetroot hummous, or pulled pork bagels.

And the coffee will be from Allpress Espresso, a cult chain of roasteries inspired by Seattle and established originally in New Zealand by (we kid you not) Michael Allpress. The company now has a global span, servicing 1,000 cafes and running roasteries from Sydney to Dalston, East London.
