In 2010, Manchester Food and Drink Festival and Food Futures launched an exciting new award Food Futures Truly Good Food, designed to accredit eating establishments in and around Manchester who serve good, sustainable food to their customers.
With this accreditation scheme in place, people dining out in Manchester can now choose where they eat with sound knowledge that there will be healthy options on the menu, and that ingredients come from sustainable sources. Cafés, restaurants and hotels in Manchester have been awarded âTruly Good Foodâ status, giving the customer an insight as to the quality of their ingredients, their attention to health, as well as their impact on the environment and the certificate is awarded at one of three levels of achievement â Bronze, Silver and Gold. The accreditation lasts for two years and can be upgraded to the next level of achievement one year after the initial award is received.
