Artisan butty makers SNDWCH take up permanent residence at MediaCityUK

4 April 2022 by Deanna Thomas

If you find yourself in MediaCity needing a quick top quality lunch, you’ll be thrilled to hear that General Store has welcomed local butty buffs SNDWCH , as a new permanent addition to their MediaCityUK store from April 1st.

SNDWCH, who began life producing SOOP from a kitchen table in Ancoats, started making their hand cut sandwiches in 2019 during the pandemic, and have since become General Store’s main butty supplier.

Their fresh, pre-packaged sarnies have been such a hit with General Stores customers, the brand is now taking up residency with their first fresh sandwich counter. SNDWCH at MediaCityUK will be serving their brilliant butties seven days a week to local residents, visitors and office workers.

“We’re really excited to be collaborating with SNDWCH for this exciting evolution of our relationship with them,” said Tom Smith, Manager at MediaCityUK General Store. “Their beautiful butties have been so popular with our customers we know that their first fresh sandwich counter will be a huge hit in MediaCityUK.”

SNDWCH are passionate about sourcing the finest, local (where possible) ingredients to create gorgeous, fresh rustic butties. Their first SNDWCH counter at MediaCityUK will offer specials like Chicken Tikka & Onion Bhaji, as well as a huge range of plant-based buttie options including vegan cheese, chicken, sausage and even bacon bits along several varieties of vegan mayo.

Customers can also create their own sandwiches by choosing from fresh bloomers, baguettes or bagels stuffed with a massive range of fillings. Breakfast butties are also available, with the likes of free-range egg omelette, prime-back bacon, locally made sausage, or plant-based sausage/bacon as their filling. Any hot drink can also be added on to save 15% of the total price.

“General Store have been with SNDWCH since the very start, so to have our very own permanent home with them feels like a real full circle moment,” says Alex Markham of SNDWCH. “It’s a natural progression in our relationship with Store Group, who have been fundamental in the growth of our business. We can’t thank them enough for their support and we look forward to serving the MediaCityUK community!”
