Beer and cheese lovers will want to head down to Albert Square tonight for a event tailored 100 per cent to their palate. Offering the finest cheese, the best in beer and a marvellous combination of the two, the host for the night is beer-expert, journalists, and food writer Pete Brown.
During the course of the evening, Pete will showcase the greatest hits of his beer-tasting repertoire with highlights that include a tutored tasting of local beers (including the best of the fest), beer and cheese matching, beer and music matching (exploring the effect of sensory stimuli on taste appreciation) and readings and beer matchings from his books.
With several awards to his name, the fourth book from Pete Brown is called Shakespeares Local. It is published this November and offers a unique history of Britain, as seen through an extraordinary public house. For more about Pete, check out his blog, www.petebrown.blogspot.com.
