Beer of week: Meantime London Porter

20 July 2010

Neil Sowerby Meantime is a Greenwich (geddit) brewery specialising in bottle-conditioned craft beers. Their Meantime London Porter, a resurrected style, is my favourite, a complex yet ethereal (6.5 ABV) expression of malt, chocolate, coffee and liquorice flavours poshly packaged in a champagne-like bottle with cork and cradle, making a perfect present for the ale-lover in your life. And it’s now widely available beyond the capital.
