Big winter warming changes at B.Eat Street in the build-up to Christmas

21 October 2016 by Neil Sowerby

AFTER only three months occupying Deansgate Mews in the Great Northern Warehouse B.Eat Street are expanding their operation. What still looks a semi-permanent pop-up back alley is gaining new traders in time for the food, booze beats build-up to Christmas.

Six micro diners, three bars and (brave choice) a sun deck remain at the core, but the cast is re-shuffling and three more units are being added with fresh traders coming on board.

Bali Beach Hut (Indonesian) and Indian Canteen will remain in their current manifestations but Lekker Dutch pancakes and Dim Sum Su have made way for Eat New York bagels and Big Grille Style to expand into full diners, while the jerk chicken shack at the entrance transforms into a festive hot rum and fire pit offering.

Co-owners Chris Legh and Lyndon Higginson are also adding a fourth bar, Bunny Jackson’s Juke Joint with live music and a chicken wire stage.

The changes mean that most of B.Eat Street will now be inside, as winter kicks in, with more heaters, seating and private dining rooms. Expect all this, plus more use of the Brickhouse Galley, rrom mid-November
