TWO dining chains with a Manchester presence scooped industry ‘Oscars’ in London.

Casual dining concept Bill’s, which has an outlet on John Dalton Street, was named Best Overall Restaurant Operator at the 2014 R200 Awards, run by Restaurant Magazine at Shoreditch’s L’Anima Cafe.

Red’s True BBQ (Albert Square, pictured below) was a double winner on the night with the brand taking home the gong for Best New Scaleable Concept and founders James Douglas and Scott Munro winning Personalities of the Year.

The Lancashire-based Seafood Pub Company was named Pub Company of the Year. Other winners included Byron’s Burgers (Innovation) and Nando’s (Family).
