Biospheric Foundation launches MCR Massive Change project

14 April 2015

Vincent Walsh, startup entrepreneur, founder of the Biospheric Foundation and Co-Director of the Biospheric Studio is launching a new event series called MCR Massive Change.

The Biospheric Foundation, established in Salford, is a state-of-the-art urban farm and research centre, where Walsh and the team run a range of community projects set up to change the culture of food production and distribution.

At the launch of MCR Massive Change, the Biospheric Project Foundation will announce its second major project, the Biospheric Studio.

The latest projects, described by the Biospheric Foundation as the ‘next biggest ecological project in Manchester,’ will seek to build on previous work on integrating the biosphere and the technosphere of the city.

The Biospheric Studio will set out its five-year vision (2015-2020) to develop fifty hyper-local, interconnected, ecologically minded projects across the North West.

With four live projects already in full swing, the studio has no time to waste in creating the right network of technologists to support the array of projects in the coming months.

The MCR Massive Change launch will take place on Friday 1 May, from 18:00 at the Spaceport X, 24/26 Lever Street.
