WE’VE previously described Summer Beer Thing at The Pilcrow as high summer in a glass, so the arrival of a book early alert has cast a warm glow over the ToM office as hail pelts the windows.
Now in it fourth year, this upmarket hopfest spreading cross NOMA’s Sadler’s Yard is certainly a hot ticket. It’s a spin-off project from the the team who created Indy Man Beer Con, Port Street Beer House and The Pilcrow. So a cutting edge craft beer line-up is guaranteed across the weekend with hopes that beer numbers exceed last year’s 200 (60 pouring at any one session).
We’re only just recovering from the remarkable Friends, Family and Beer Festival at Manchester Central; Summer Beer Thing is much more intimate event with Sadler’s Yard likely to prove a sun-trap in late June.
Cocktails will also be on offer throughout the three-day fest, alongside a selection of street food from the region’s best vendors. Tickets for Summer Beer Thing 2020’s five sessions are on sale now, starting at just £6 (plus £1 booking fee).
