Three vegetarian chefs are teaming up with the Longford Park-based Uprising Bakehouse (pictured) to host a sumptuous vegetarian and vegan feast under the trees this summer. Wendy Swetnam (formerly of Bistro 1847, and the talent behind Wendy's House supperclub), author of Modernist Vegetarian, Eddie Shepherd (www.veggiechef.co.uk) and local chef Johno Johnson will work together to deliver a gourmet vegetarian dining experience with a difference. Nestled in a leafy corner of Longford Park between Chorlton and Stretford guests will be treated to four courses of the finest local and seasonal delights plus live music. The event is BYOB, with four courses up for grabs for just 25 people. Watch this space for more details - but right now, it looks like an intimate, fun night will be had by all.
