BOOKINGS LIVE: New Italian-American restaurant Louis set to open early doors next month

29 August 2024 by Rhiannon Ingle

It seems like the countdown is nearly over now that the bookings for Louis, the exciting new project from Manchester’s own Permanently Unique Group, the hospitality team behind FENIX and Tattu, are now open allowing diners to book tables from Friday 13th September.

All about transporting diners to the Golden Age, Louis will no doubt become the go-to place to enjoy timeless live music, delicious Italian American cuisine, fine world wines and classic cocktails poured straight up.

The Italian-American menu has been curated by Executive Chef Ipprokatis Anagnostelis, the visionary behind FENIX, and Italian Chef Matteo D’Elia, who has over 13 years of experience working in Michelin starred kitchens across the UK and internationally.

Guests can expect a selection of classics made with exceptional ingredients with highlights including; Iberico Meatballs in marinara sauce, Green Lip Breaded Mussels, Osso Buco alla Milanese and Caesar From Scratch, alongside fresh pasta handmade on site. A 12-drink menu has been curated by Head of Beverage, Will Meredith, and celebrates classic American cocktails.

The cocktail list will also be following suit, seamlessly blending Italian heritage with American flair with standouts including the Bloody Maria, the Manhattan and the PB&J Old Fashioned.

Each table in Louis will be the best seat in the house, with a tiered design centred around the main stage placing the spotlight on the live acts to create an atmosphere reminiscent of New York’s golden era - think deep velvet, classic Italian marble and intimate tables framed with café curtains.

Louis will instil the quintessential Manchester ear for fresh new talent into the musical line-up, alongside a weekly roster of performers from soul singers and pianists, to jazz quartets and full swing bands - each evening will be an entirely new experience, yet the familiar feeling of being at Louis, amongst friends, will be a constant.

And the best part? Well, it's clearly not only the interiors which hark back to that of the silver screen as Louis will also have a no phone policy throughout the venue to ensure that all guests can be truly present.

Opening Wednesday through Sunday, your booth awaits.

Reservations now available here.
