Multi-award-winning expert bakers, Aidan Monks, and Catherine Connor of Lovingly Artisan, will be joining forces with Bounceback Food Community Kitchen as they gear up to celebrate the first anniversary of the charity’s first-ever permanent dedicated kitchen this weekend (Saturday 29th June).
A year ago, the charity set up their Community Kitchen on Central Way, Altrincham, and ever since they’ve been able to rapidly expand their meal drive operation across Manchester, directly serving beneficiaries from the local homeless community. Alongside that, they’ve also been able to host all sorts of fundraising events, largely thanks to their innovative 'buy one, give one' lunch menu. All of this means that they can now deliver in the region of 400 meals a week, to fourteen different partner food banks and sheltered accommodation sites across Greater Manchester.
So, to celebrate the milestone achievement the right way, they’re having a bit of a do, on Saturday 29th June, at their Altrincham home.
Like many local businesses, Lovingly Artisan supports the vital work Bounceback does. Each week the team gives a supply of freshly baked loaves to the charity to help them meet their mealtime targets. But keen to continue showing their support for their neighbours in their efforts the team at Lovingly Artisan will be hosting a sourdough bread-making workshop and donating all of the money from tickets sold to help Bounceback that little bit more.
So, pop along and show your support and celebrate the first birthday of Bounceback’s Community Kitchen with Aidan and learn all about the health benefits of sourdough, gut health and home baking,

Catherine Connor, co-owner of Lovingly Artisan said: "Bounceback is an amazing local charity and we’ve supported what they do ever since they became our neighbours a year ago.
"Like many of you, we're so lucky to be able to enjoy quality fresh food. But that’s not the case for so many, which is why we are doing our bit to try and help out and support the incredible work that the Altrincham team do across the whole community week in and week out.
"So, pop along on Saturday and help us to help Bounceback that little bit more by booking tickets at our sourdough workshop and the other Street Party happenings.’"
