BRAAI is the jewel in the South African culinary crown and you’ll get the chance to see what the fuss is all about at the latest in The Northern Quarter Restaurant and Bar’s acclaimed Gourmet Evenings.
The word is Afrikaans for grilling meat over an open fire, so what makes it different from your common or garden barbecue? The exotic list of dishes on TNQ’s five course Braai Banquet suggest you are in for a very different meaty treat on Wednesday, July 29 – the likes of Boerewors, Lamb Sosatties, Smoked Snoek and Chakalaka.
Tickets for the event, which kicks off at 8pm, are £60, but that includes wines from South Africa’s most awarded winery, Nederburg, including the very rare Two Centuries' Cabernet Sauvignon, introduced by Berenice, an ambassador from the company.
South Africa is so proud of Braai it even has a national holiday dedicated to it. So the BBQ at TNQ looks more than OK to TOM! Book your tickets by ringing 0161 8323 7115.
