CAMDEN Town Brewery are official beer sponsors of the 2019 Manchester Food and Drink Festival, which kicks off this Thursday (September 26). You can taste their beer range at the Cathedral Gardens hub. The day before you’ll find them down at Media City launching their new seasonal beer, Harvest Hells Lager – a darker autumnal version thanks to its roasted malts.
Another beer then? Well, attached to a serious social conscience. Camden have teamed up with charity The Felix Project to support their mission in raising awareness of food poverty in the UK, which reportedly affects 8.4 million people.
As part of a nationwide campaign, Camden is encouraging the public to donate to their local food banks with the UK’s first Can-for-Can swap initiative. At Media City (M50 2EQ) from 12pm-3pm on Wednesday 25th you’ll be able to swap cans of food produce for cans of the new Harvest Hells, with all donations going to local food banks. Plus they’ll give 20p from every can sold in the first month to The Felix Project.
