A top Manchester restaurant is inviting students to reward their academic achievements with a celebratory feast. The Lowry Hotel’s award-winning River Bar and Restaurant has created a special set menu for diners to enjoy as part of their graduation ceremony celebrations.

For £25 per person the restaurant is offering a three course meal with a glass of wine on arrival as well as tea/coffee and petite fours.

Examples of dishes included on the set menu are:

Starters
Celery soup with poached Burford Brown egg
Grilled mackerel on toast with broad beans
Tomato and fennel salad with land cress

Main Courses
Roast Goosnargh duck leg with spring bubble and squeak
Grilled Loch Duart salmon with Jersey Royals and Morecambe Bay shrimps
Swainson House Farm free-range chicken salad with split peas and roast beets

Desserts
Claremont Farm gooseberry fool
Raspberry shortbread
Welsh rarebit

Afternoon tea can also be enjoyed in The River Bar from 3pm – 5pm daily. For £19.50 per person, customers can sample a selection of finger sandwiches, freshly-baked scones with clotted cream and jam, fresh pastries and fancies and a choice of teas. For an extra special touch, diners can add a glass of Billecarte Salmon Champagne and fresh strawberries and cream to their afternoon tea (£29.50).
