A BESPOKE cooking class with award-winning chef Mary-Ellen McTague and all to raise money for the housing and homeless charity, Shelter.
That’s the latest event from Inca Popups at the swanky new Food Sorcery Cookery School in Didsbury.
Riverford Organics are providing the food for the demos by Mary-Ellen, once of Aumbry and now head chef at the Real Junk Food Project Manchester. After which she will provide one to one group advice on how to turn this seasonal goodness into a banquet and utilise it on a day to day basis without any waste.
Money raised from the class on Sunday, April 30, will be donated to Shelter to help fund a ‘Grow’ trainee – a Manchester homeless person will be given support and mentoring to grow their confidence and knowledge through a placement at Street Support. Their Portland Street base is a central point for anyone who is homeless and requires and those prepared to give it.
Added bonuses of joining the class – you get a Riverford cook book written by founder Guy Watson plus a delivery of organic produce to your door the following week.
