Yes, Saturday, November 14 marks the start of Manchester’s Christmas Markets. They’ll be the epicentre of festive merriment all the way through to Monday, December 21 when all the Teutonic traders all hot-foot it back to Hamburg, Baden-Württemberg or wherever to start their own celebrations.
This year there will be over 300 stalls showcasing an eclectic bunch of sellers – not just German but from all points across Europe and local. The hub is outside the Town Hall, but don’t ignore the other less frenetic locations, whose bars are also open until 9pm.
