Craft beers, cocktails and an industrial design – you guessed it, a new NQ bar

12 February 2015

PHEW, TOM was worried when we hadn’t heard a whisper of a new Northern Quarter bar opening in over a week. Fortunately, word dropped about Tarriff and Dale – a very New York sounding establishment ion the corner of two street that have stood in for the Big Apple for many a movie.

The project is from the team behind the long-running Lead Station in Chorlton (pictured below). It’s predicted to open in late March or early April. That looks a mite optimistic on the evidence of a quick recce of this former Victorian fabric warehouse.

When it arrives It will boast an ‘urban kitchen’, headed by a local chef with a Michelin starred London background, and a bar serving beers from UK microbreweries, cocktails and wine, in a setting reflecting the building’s industrial heritage. Consultant designer is Paul Astill, co-founder of Cord, Thomas Restaurant and Bar and the Bay Horse.
