LONDON Road Fire Station is to host ‘Made Here’, a series of free pop-up events showcasing the work of some of Manchester’s best designers, makers and creators across four dates starting in August. Oh, and alongside, expect some of the city’s best food and drink producers.
The line-up is still to be announced but we understand liquid refreshment is coming from Track Brewing Co, probably the closest brewery to London Road and one of the city’s best. Check out artisan beers such Track Sonoma Pale Ale and their Santiam IPA.
‘Made Here’ is a collaboration between Allied London, Studio DBD and Jamie Scahill, giving the public a chance to meet and buy from the people behind some of the finest hand-crafted products in Manchester – furniture, clothing, ceramics, prints and more.
Out in the courtyard will be the food stalls workshops for kids and DJs and bands performing throughout the day and into the evening.
London Road, opening up after 30 years in mothballs, will be hosting a series of low-key events in the courtyard and ground floor, to introduce people to this iconic space before Allied London begins external and internal renovation works towards the end of 2016.
Made Here at London Road will be popping-up from 11am-9pm. on these Saturdays – August 13/September 10/October 8 and November 12.
