By now, we know all about Ramona's supremacy when it comes to the city centre but it seems like the lovely lot behind the home of the frozen marg and Detroit-style 'za are expanding their empire with a brand-new quick-service pizza restaurant coming to Circle Square on Oxford Road this autumn.
Joining the family behind Ramona, Diecast and The Firehouse, Detroit Slims will be introducing 'a game-changing approach to Detroit-style pizza' with 10″ long rectangle-shaped pizza serving as the perfect takeaway option or speedy meal to eat-in, with prices starting from just a fiver a pop.
Each pizza will be individually sized and baked fresh to order with toppings for just about every craving in mind including; the Cheese Burger Slim, BBQ Meat Feast and the Shroom Slim along with the proper good The Pepperoni Crown.
All pies will be made using Detroit Slims' signature textured base, made from special 48-hour, slow-fermented focaccia dough.
If you're a fan of crust dipping, you'll be buzzing to know the pizzas will be complemented by a hefty variety of house-made dips including; Kimchi Mayo, Hot Honey and Dill Jalapeño Ranch. Sides to accompany your Slims also include chicken tenders tossed in homemade Cajun pepper and crispy scooper fries – the perfect pairing with those lovely dips.
And, for a sweet treat you can choose from soft serve ice-cream, a selection of American-style shakes and - of course - cookie trays.

Detroit has been a city close to our hearts since we first visited, so much so, we brought a piece of it back home when we opened Ramona in 2021. Detroit Slims is the newest iteration of our love for Detroit-style pizza! We’re so excited to finally introduce the Slims brand to our home city of Manchester, and eventually bring Detroit-style pizza to everyone UK-wide!"

All of our bases will be made right here in the city, and eventually, as the brand grows, they will be shipped across the country to reach our other locations.
