Didsbury's Volta celebrates launch with 50% off this January

8 January 2014

Check out this big, juicy Dexter rib on the bone which you can tuck into for half price at Volta in West Didsbury. The new restaurant and brasserie is the kind of place that's going to thrive in this chi chi south Manchester suburb. Tucked into the strip of shops that includes the minimalist Moth interior store, and modern British Rose Garden (a favourite of the Good Food Guide), Volta offers a kind of cool, grill-style alternative - exactly the kind of thing you'd expect from the team that brought us former MFDF Bar of the Year Electrik in Chorlton.

The menu has 50 per cent off for the whole of January. The snacks and small plates are Spanish in style; fine breads from Trove in Levenshulme and small plates like padron peppers, pork belly cubes or crispy squid with aioli. Mains from the grill are typically meaty think hangar steak, Dexter rib and so on. We also like the sound of 50:50 chips; half sweet potato and half normal. Wines, craft bottle beers and Electrik ales are all available from the bar. The only condition is that customers must buy a full priced drink with their meal.
