Dishoom have created an amazing new cook at home kit, the Dishoom Home Feast

4 August 2021 by Deanna Thomas

Hugely popular restaurant group Dishoom have just announced the launch of the Dishoom Home Feast. This brand-new meal kit contains a generous selection of Dishoom’s most-loved dishes to enjoy in the comfort of your own home.

Dishoom’s team of talented chef-wallas have chopped, stirred and marinated to provide a first-rate feasting experience that requires minimal skill to perfect at home. The kit comes with all the ingredients and instructions you'll need to prepare a bountiful spread of grills, curries, breads, sides, and pudding in little more than half an hour. They have chosen a carefully balanced selection of veg and non-veg, providing a plentiful feast for two diners (that can easily serve four if you add rice).

Kababs come pre-marinated, ready to skewer and grill. There’s lamb sheekh kabab (minced lamb marinated in green chilli, coriander and cumin) and murgh malai (chicken thigh steeped in garlic, ginger, coriander and a little cream.) Accompanying curries include mattar paneer, a vegetarian curry with rich tomato base, sweet peas and paneer, along with Dishoom’s signature house black daal - which usually takes at least six hours to make from scratch. And because Dishoom have done all the hard work for you, these need simply to be warmed through and served.

Ingredients for light and crunchy Bhel simply need tossing together, whilst cucumber, tomatoes and onion are ready to be chopped, tossed and dressed to create freshest Kachumber side salad. Three Tawa Roti dough balls come ready to be rolled and cooked in moments.

For dessert, there’s Dishoom’s take on a classic Eton Mess, the Gulkand Mess, featuring strawberries, meringue, cream, gulkand and rose syrup. All dishes are halal and come accompanied by bottled Mango Lassi containing first-class yoghurt and fresh mango pulp.

If you want to make a night of it, you can also choose to add a 750ml bottle of Int3gral3 Frizzante Bianco for an additional £20. This approachable, low ABV white wine with gentle fizz, contains notes of white flowers and a dry grapefruit bite. It’s refreshing, crisp flavours provide a perfect accompaniment to richly-spiced dishes.

The kit comes with easy-to-follow instructions included, along with links to handy video tutorials featuring Dishoom’s executive chef, Naved Nasir. The kit also contains reusable meat skewers for grilling, a bespoke tea towel for wrapping roti, and plentiful Kabab Masala for future use.

Kits are priced at £60 (excl. delivery) and are available for nominated day delivery to most addresses nationwide. For every kit sold, Dishoom will donate a meal to their long-term charity partner, Akshaya Patra, an excellent organisation that provides nutritious free meals to school children in India.

Patrons can place their orders now via the Dishoom Store for delivery from 12th August onwards: https://store.dishoom.com/home

The Dishoom Store also sells Naan Roll kits, bottled cocktails, the much-loved Dishoom cookery book, gift coins, vouchers and more.

Or, if you'd rather go to the restaurant (so they can do the washing up) you can visit Dishoom Manchester, 32 Bridge Street, Manchester, M3 3BT
