TASTE of Manchester is thrilled that Spinningfields is finally fulfilling its potential as a place to eat out. The arrival of Brazilian churascurria Fazenda adds a further dimension (especially if you are a carnivore), but for cask ale drinkers the only option is The Oast House.
That’s about to change in January when an offshoot of The Dockyard opens up in the former Cafe Rouge site. Another strong independent offering, from Steve Pilling of Damson fame, this Media City pub pioneer won Pub of the Year at the 2014 Manchester Food and Drink Awards.
The opening, expected in January, is a big plus for the riverfront where the row of chain eateries got the whole Spinningfields project off to a stumbling start.
