Don’t miss GRUB’s three day Eastern Food Fair at Fairfield Street Social Club

29 March 2019 by Neil Sowerby

STREET food kings GRUB are going far east with a new look food event in their Fairfield Street Social Club base from March 29 to 31.

For one weekend only the trader line-up at the GRUB Eastern Asian Food Fair is 100 per cent oriental in inspiration. Diners can enjoy vibrant bao buns from Wallace & Sons, Korean-inspired dishes from Geordie Seoul and pan-Asian street food from Wok's Cluckin.

There'll also be fresh sushi from Sutikku, one-off Japanese-inspired sweet treats from Chou Choux Patisserie, banh-mi veterans Hanoi 75 and, for the Saturday only, delicious dumplings from Oh Mei Dumpling (delectable main image).

Award-winning Somerset brewery The Wild Beer Co will be taking over the taps for the weekend with some Jaanese inspired beers, such as Yadokai (a sake-influenced beer brewed with Scottish and Japanese ingredients) and Tom Yum Gose (homage to the Thai soup, with a salty kick). Note; the bar is cards only, most of the food stalls are cash only.
