DISCREETLY The Rabbit in the Moon restaurant on top of Urbis has dropped the Moon part from its title. ToM hopes The Rabbit – reborn after the Michael O’Hare regime – retains those dinky porcelain spacemen on each table.
They will now be presiding over a new Veggie Tasting Menu created by exec John Granaghan, the quiet Dubliner who has made such a big impression since taking over the kitchens. Like front of house head Charlotte Rasburn he worked at O’Hare’s Michelin-starred Man Behind The Curtain in Leeds… and their attention to detail shows.
Priced at £70 for dinner and £45 for lunch, the Asian-influenced vegetarian menu includes tempura avocado bao with hoisin sauce and avocado, sambal gyoza with chargrilled pineapple sweet and sour sauce, and miso roast aubergine with Singapore noodles and plum.
Sweet servings include raspberry cheesecake with tarragon ice cream and petit fours banana and mango mousse, pandan with coconut and coffee and juniper doughnut.
