Embankment Kitchen launches vibrant summer menu with sharing sangria and small plates

Although summer may not feel like it is in full swing at the moment, the team at Embankment Kitchen have finally brought the sunshine with their brand-new summer menu.

Perfect for a spot of alfresco dining, the restaurant has launched a new deal on its small plates menu. Diners can enjoy three dishes for £17.50 or five for £27.50 and, on the food front, there’s a lot to get excited about.

You’ll find dishes including homemade focaccia, crispy salt and pepper squid and spicy chicken lollipops, alongside sticky glazed pork belly, honey, garlic and sesame chicken wings and buffalo mozzarella bruschetta.  

Alongside the small plates, Embankment Kitchen’s main menu offers a range of tasty dishes from pub classics to more refined specials. The cajun lime roast chicken (£27) is marinated for 24 hours and comes served with lamb’s leaf, rocket, cherry tomato relish, pickled red onion salad, garlic pitta bread and tahini.

There’s also a beer battered fish and chips (£14.50), chicken and leek pie (£16), shredded duck leg ragu pappardelle (£22) and a range of steaks and burgers, including the EK burger (£16), that’s topped with Monterey jack cheese, tomato, red onion, homemade relish all served on a brioche bun with fries and confit garlic mayo.

The restaurant has also recently changed its opening hours, meaning that diners can enjoy Embankment’s burger and pizza deal every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Enjoy any pizza for £10, or any burger for £12 across all three days.  

Determined to stretch out what is left of the warm weather, a dedicated ‘Terrace Sharers’ cocktail menu has been crafted specifically to be split over a summer evening. This includes the always crowd-pleasing Sangria, Pink Gin Fizz, Rhubarb and Cranberry Crush and the Garden Sharer.
