Explore the best restaurants in town with Come Dine With Metrolink

The best restaurants in Manchester take centre stage at Come Dine with Metrolink this year for the Manchester Food and Drink Festival.

City centre restaurants taking part include Market Restaurant, Tampopo, Kro, Harvey Nichols and in Media City, The Lowry Theatre.

For the first time Come Dine with Metrolink will also venture into Oldham, visiting La Via and Marios, and also Ramsbottom, featuring Ramsons and The Chocolate Cafe.

Due to popular demand, there will be three separate events and the travelling dinner party by tram will also travel by train, on the East Lancashire Railway heritage steam train. The events are as follows.

Trams & Trains - SOLD OUT - Sunday (30 Sep)

tarting at Kro Piccadilly for pre-dinner drinks, travel along Metrolink Bury line to connect with the heritage steam train of East Lancashire Railway. Travellers can enjoy a pint of real ale at Ramsbottom station before moving on to Ramsons, the award winning restaurant, for the main course. Finishing at the amazing Chocolate Cafe, transport aficionados will not be disappointed.

Oldham Line - SOLD OUT - Saturday (6 Oct)

Metrolink’s new Oldham line will be the star of an adventure starting at Harvey Nichols, taking the tram for an authentic Italian starter at Marios in Oldham town centre. The tram then heads to Spain with a main course at La Via and finishes at Oldham Art Gallery for wine and cheese with Winos Wine Shop.

Manchester Icons - TICKETS AVAILABLE - Sunday (7 Oct)

Starts at Market Restaurant where intrepid diners will be treated to a pre-dinner drink and starter before travelling with Metrolink to Tampopo to enjoy a main course. They’ll then hop on the tram and venture to MediaCityUK for desert in the Lowry Theatre and Restaurant.


All events are hosted by Green Badge tour guides who will impart their knowledge of the city and its surrounding areas as guests enjoy the journey.

Tickets for Come Dine with Metrolink cost £25 per person and include tram travel.
