Known for creating some of Manchester’s most outrageous burgers and after spreading far and wide across the city, Almost Famous have now set their sights on Withington.
Adding another Location to their ever-growing list of restaurants, Almost Famous have announced they will be setting up shop in Withington as of this Friday (May 26th) and for those of you who love a freebie they’ll even be a few goodies thrown in on the launch day.
Formerly home to the lovely Libertine which sadly closed last December, Almost Famous’ new home will be in the stunning grade II listed bank which gives off a slightly more aesthetic feel than their other locations and feels perfect for a more casual date night. However the location will still be littered with their trademark playful interior to give it that classic ‘Almost Famous’ spin, rumour has it they’ll even be a 10ft gorilla in the venue (sounds bananas ey).
Almost Famous had this to say about the new opening: “This part of Manchester has always been home for me and like a playground between town and Dids… – kebabs at Abdul’s or Monsoon - the 42bus up and down – the Didsbury dozen – when curry’s in Rusholme were a fiver including a beer – Parklife at Platt Fields – Big Hands – feels good to be going into South Manchester.”
Just in time for the bank holiday, the restaurant will be open from 12pm on the 26th May and will be the new home of their exclusive Southside Burger which contains bacon bacon mayo, cheesy smashed tots, peri BBQ sauce, crispy smoked bacon, jalapeno and onion alongside Almost Famous’ double cheeseburger.
Finally, to spice up the opening of the Withington venue the first two people in the doors will receive an Almost Famous black card which will entitle them to free burgers for an entire year. On top of that, the first twenty people will eat completely free and every single booking over the weekend will get a free bottle of bacon bacon mayo.
