The Firehouse, which has recently been nominated as Manchester’s best restaurant at the MFDF awards, are to host a new weekly ‘Ancoats Fringe Theatre Party’ to offset any mid-week blues.
‘Fringe Theatre’ is the term given to alternative performances and shows, produced outside of the mainstream theatre. Non-traditional in style or often on a small, pop-up stage, fringe theatre has been made famous by the Edinburgh Festival and New York Free Theatre Festivals.
Since it opened, The Firehouse has gained a following for its open fire kitchen, Wild Spirits bar, team and service, but also for what happens after dinner, by bringing Runway shows, fashion raves and parties to Ancoats after dark.
The Firehouse team has spent the last year becoming known as an after-dinner hangout. Starting on September 21st, The Firehouse will open every Wednesday at 4pm for their new high-energy fringe cabaret parties. Margaritas will fuel the Fringe events as their renowned margarita list (just like their sister restaurant Ramona) will be just £5 each all night long.
Guests can expect roaming freestyle Balkan musicians, spectacular sketches, fearless funnies, brazen burlesque and jovial gymnasts alongside special guest selectas making midweek something to get excited about.
