EVERY new arrival has to have a twist to its tale. A nose bleed from the highest view in Manchester? Vegan wallpaper? A Catalan with added Pep? The Anthologist is saying it with flowers.
The bar, Drake and Morgan’s second Manchester project, will openon July 2 in St Peter’s Square on the back of a floral ‘scavenger hunt’. They’ve hidden 10 big bouquets of flowers in strategic locations across the city centre in places like Piccadilly, Portland Street and Spinningfields, St Peter’s Square and the First Street Estate.
Anyone who finds one of the10 bouquets not only gets a flowery prize but also the chance to win a range of other gifts, from VIP invites to The Anthologist’s exclusive launch party on July 5 to a top secret (very special) Main Prize. Simply follow The Anthologist Manchester on Facebook to receive clues to the bouquet locations.
The event is part of The Anthologist’s ‘Language of Flowers’ initiative which encourages people to ‘say it with flowers’ – communicating with loved ones in a way that transcends words. This will play out on social media and in the streets of the city over the next few weeks, offering creativel floral tributes to the city. /
There’s also a special 25 per cent off the cost of food offer if you book for bar snacks or dining between July 9-15. Any party of six or more booking a table in the bar area for drinks during July gets a free bottle of prosecco if they quote ‘Prosecco’ when booking. Reservations can be made online here.
