GINSTRONOMY, monthly homage all things botanical at Allotment NQ, is celebrating foraged and locally sourced food this time.
On Wednesday, August 29, at 7pm, the Dale Street bar is hosting a five course dinner with five different G&T pairings. It costs £45 a per person. Book here.
The menu is: pan fried Mackerel with beetroot & horseradish (matched with Thomas Dakin Gin); Manchester cooking apple and cubeb soup (Bloom Gin); wood pigeon breast with cobnuts, wild mushrooms, baby carrots ane carrot puree (Bloom summer cup); tiger prawn, grapefruit and Chorlton sourdough crouton salad (Ophir Gin); jasmine blancmange with blackberry and mint coulis (Bloom Jasmine & Rose).
September’s Ginstronomy is a Manchester Food and Drink Festival special, Cuckoo for Gin. For £38 a head there’s a three course meal inspired by 1930s style fine dining with a modern twist. Each course will be paired with G&T or cocktail featuring these Cuckoo Gin expressions – Original, Cuckoo Spiced and Cuckoo Sunshine.
