FOUNDATION TO OPEN THIRD COFFEE VENUE IN CENTRAL MANCHESTER

21 October 2019

COFFEE and creativity are definite bedfellows, so it have been no surprise that the Foundation Coffee Houses benefit from being an extension of design business No Chintz.

After success with the Lever Street NQ original and a second outlet within Whitworth Locke aparthotel  the operators are now opening a third Foundation at 11 Portland Street this December. On a bustling thoroughfare opposite Piccadilly Bus Station, the vibe promises to be lighter with more emphasis on the takeway trade. The basic formula remains the same – freshly made brunch dishes to match top class coffee. It certainly looks cool in the CGI, above.

Director Dominic Beardwell told us: “As a design practice operating its own food and beverage business we are lucky to be able to approach new ventures with a real understanding of how much design, atmosphere and quality matters; I think that’s part of the reason we have had so much success.

“We are planning to grow the business organically but at the same time we do have our eye on continuous expansion. We are conscious not to create identikit environments.”
