AN impressive array of Spanish food specialists is represented at Festejar, a four-day celebration (Aug 31- Sept 3) of all things Spanish, back in Albert Square for a fourth year.
As the sangria starts flowing the festival will kick off in style on Thursday, August 31 with a free performance from Seville flamenco maestro Chico Pere, from the renowned Calaíta Flamenco Son.
The following night, the chilled out vibe of Ibiza will come to Festejar as DJ Miguel Manzano, a former Sankeys resident, presents a unique electronic musical story tracing the story of dance music on the island and the hypnotic spell it has cast upon the world.
Then over the course of the four day festival, activities will include Spanish dance lessons, crafts, food and drink stalls selling everything from tapas to tortillas with extra traders joining El Pequeño Mercado (The Little Market) on Saturday and Sunday.
