FREE MEALS: Dishoom celebrate 15th anniversary with free dishes, big surprises & 25 million meals donated

10 September 2025 by Rhiannon Ingle

One of Manchester's most-loved restaurants, Dishoom, is hitting the big one-five this September - and they’re marking the milestone with a proper feast of generosity

From Monday 15th to Tuesday 30th September, every Dishoom café across the UK will be giving away a different dish every single day – completely free. The only catch is that you won’t know what’s on offer until the morning reveal over on their Instagram.

It could be a smoky, slow-cooked curry, a breakfast favourite like their legendary Bacon Naan Roll, or something completely unexpected. Whatever it is, just flash that day’s Insta Story to your server and you’ll get one free dish per table, dine-in only.

While that's all very exciting, this isn’t just about free food. Dishoom is also celebrating a truly remarkable achievement – donating 25 million meals to children in need over the past decade. Working with Magic Breakfast here in the UK and The Akshaya Patra Foundation in India, they’ve been making sure kids get a proper start to the day with a full belly and a better chance to learn.

It all started back in Ramadan 2015, when Dishoom pledged a meal for every meal they served – their modern-day take on zakat, or charitable giving. That promise now includes every dish at their new Brighton Permit Room and even their at-home Naan Roll Kits.

So, with all that in mind, why not treat yourself to Dishoom between 15th to 30th September for free surprises, a slice of history and a whole lot of heart – now that’s a birthday worth celebrating.

Bookings are open for groups of any size up until 5:45 pm, after which only larger tables can reserve – though here in Manchester, you can still book for any size, all night long.

Follow @dishoom on Instagram to catch the daily reveal – and maybe plan your visit around your favourite dish...
