This year, Rudy's Pizza Napoletana is turning Negroni Week (22-28th September) into a month-long celebration by dropping limited-edition, vintage-inspired football jerseys that grant owners a free negroni and pizza, every day throughout the month of September. What’s more, 100% of the profits will be donated Slow Food in the UK, a not-for-profit grassroots movement that believes in good, clean food for all.
Building on last year’s viral merch drop, Rudy’s Pizza has put a vintage spin on this year’s occasion and designed an eye-catching Napoli-inspired football jersey, in a stylish nod to the 90s nostalgia trend. This shirt not only makes you look good, but eat good too, providing the wearer with free pizza and a negroni of choice every day of September, worth more than £750.
Dropping in Rudy’s pizzerias nationwide on Monday 1st September, the sky-blue geometric print shirts are loosely inspired by Napoli FC’s own iconic kits. Retailing for £195 each, this chic jersey pays for itself with just 8 visits, and features Rudy’s brand name across the chest in addition to the brand’s promise of “True Neapolitan Pizza”. Finished with a custom stitched badge that states “Rudy’s Negroni FC”, this shirt is the ultimate totem for pizza and negroni lovers alike.
Following an inspiring trip to Milan’s legendary Camparino Bar Rudy’s has crafted four new negroni specials in partnership with Campari. The standout, the Rhubarb + Apple Negroni, takes its cue from the sweet, seasonal flavours of Italy’s beloved La Crostata dessert, bringing a fresh twist to Rudy’s expanded negroni menu.
The flavours don’t stop there. Customers can also expect specials such as the Sour Peach Sbagliato (Campari, vermouth, gin, peach syrup, lemon juice + prosecco), Passionfruit Negroni (Sarti, vermouth, lemon gin) and of course, a Classic Negroni.
Commenting on this year's launch, Neal Bates of Rudy’s Pizza, said: "It was an honour for our team to spend time with Gabrielle at the Camparino Bar in Milan. He’s spent the last 24 years at the legendary bar crafting this iconic aperitivo so there’s no better person, or location, to inspire our new negroni menu. And if last year is anything to go by, you’ll need to be quick off the mark to secure one of our limited edition Negroni shirts' 'with benefits'; they sold quicker than our pizzas take to cook! Best of luck, and we hope you enjoy our month-long celebration; frankly every week should be Negroni week."
