FRESS Didsbury Cocktails and Kitchen is officially open from Friday, July 6 in the former Caramello gelato/pastisserie site (they’re relocating). Amazing to think it’s now a year since the original Fress opened on Oldham Street, adding its own Victorian style twist to NQ bar decor.
It was a bold move by owner Jenn Hargreaves, once of The Marriott and Albert’s in Worsley, but it paid off.
What Fress – in Yiddish it means eating ravenously – brings to this second venue in is a reputation for doing one of the best brunches in town.
Having debated whether our food image should be the stand-out smashed avocado on sourdough with extra bacon, we went all summery and opted for French toast with home made Mascarpone ice cream and summer berry compote.
The new Fress has the same same policy as NQ, with walk ins before 3pm and email bookings available after this time via [email protected]
