THE Northern Quarter version is arguably the most popular of the Makers Markets, so ToM’s advice is get there early this Sunday (April 9) to check out newcomers Balls Kitchen (vegan, raw and organic energy balls); The Market Tea Lady (artisan teas); Mamatan (Malaysian curry and chilli pastes, marinades and spices).
The join regulars Cumbrian Pig, Western Biltong, Cheshire Cheese and Big House Of Olives in a line-up of nearly 100 stalls, covering food, crafts and gifts. There will also be quiches from Country Fayre Deli, cupcakes from End Of The Rainbow, freshly baked Breads from The French Corner, stuffed breads from Hot Stuffed, omemade sauces and marinades from Daddy Cools and doorstop sized brownies from Treats Bake Shop.
The street food area features German smoked bratwurst from In The Dog Haus, bad boy burgers from Whats Your Beef, handmade bao and katsu curry from Wallace and Sons and The Ottomen and their Mediterranean mezze. Music from DJ Pasta Paul.
